Job location: Arlington, VA

Syneren is looking for an entry-level programmer to join its team. The candidate that fills this role will assist in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, modify, and/or design software according to provided requirements/design specifications
  • Problem solve using conceptual knowledge of theories, algorithms, heuristics, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
  • Build enhancements within an existing software application to optimize operational efficiency
  • Create requirement specification matrices, wireframes, workflow diagrams, logical flows, data flows, etc. based on project requirements
  • Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues
  • Search for, investigate, report, and fix software defects
  • Create technical documentation as needed for software specification and deployment
  • Participate as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • 0-2 years of related work experience

  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
