Job location: Stafford, VA

Syneren is looking for a self-motivated, organized Tech Writer/Software Development SME to assist the government customer in defining the requirements and guidelines for the development of applications supporting the United States Marine Corps in the MCEITS 2.0 environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of the SDLC, including MIL-STD-498 Application and Reference Guidebook, and DoD 5000 series lifecycle management
  • Ability to write/document a Development Guide for developing, deploying and supporting software applications in Commercial or Private Cloud as well as On-Premise Infrastructure
  • Configuration Management tools and processes
  • Must have an understanding of DoD Cybersecurity requirements and be able to properly translate and sequence these into a process within the Software Development Guide
  • Must be a clear and effective verbal and written communicator, and be able to serve as the point of contact (POC) for the Software Development Guide
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Candidates should have software development experience in a wide range of the following areas:
    • Agile and waterfall development processes
    • Development platforms
    • Software languages and tools
    • Development aspects including user, functional, and system requirements definition
    • Interface design
    • Application programming interfaces
    • Development, test, and production environments (including on premise and cloud)
    • Software development project management
    • Security
    • Database design and architecture
    • Production O&M
    • Software quality assurance
Preferred Qualifications
  • USMC systems experience preferred
