Job Responsibilities 

TASC, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Program Manager to lead our NASA Software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) program in Fairmont, West Virginia. The NASA IV&V Program provides mission assurance for NASA through independent assessment of NASA embedded software development efforts across the entire software development lifecycle. The Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the contract, to include being the primary customer contact to the NASA IV&V Office for all program activities. As the program manager, this individual will direct all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsibilities will include:

  • Cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer and customer and industry relationships
  • Lead a large contract and direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, functional and administrative areas.
  • Participate in negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Develops new business with customer.
  • Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, and identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy.
  • Provide creative thinking on competitive positioning, acquisition shaping, market investments, win strategy, themes and discriminators.
  • Conduct collaboration across Sectors to leverage TASC’s existing capabilities across adjacent markets.


Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree and 20+ years of overall experience 10+ years of experience in an IV&V testing environment Demonstrated experience successfully running large IV&V programs in lead and program management roles Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors. Program Management certification desired Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance Ability to travel approximately 2-3 times per month
